Ruchi Strips & Alloys Ltd (RSAL), an ISO 9001: 2000 and ISO 14001: 2004 certified company, was set up in 1991 for manufacturing of Cold Rolled Steel Coils and Sheets. RSAL now is a complete complex with all the manufacturing facilities of different types and grades of cold rolled steel with installed capacity of 1,00,000 TPA. The company manufactures a wide range of semi-process electrical steel, low carbon, medium carbon and special grade CR products, in thicknesses ranging from 0.11 mm to 2.50 mm and up to a maximum width of 1020 mm. It has facility for slitting and shearing of coils to make available tailor-made cut-to-length batch as per customer specification. Electrical and magnetic properties of electrical steel are very important in electrical equipment especially the core loss, magnetic polarisation (portion of magnetic flux density caused by magnetic material) and permeability. The company offers a wide product range to meet and even exceeding expectation of its customers. It is the first company in India to develop non grain oriented semi process electrical steel conforming to Indian and international standards under brand name RUMAG which is especially developed for optimal performance in rotating machines hence they display electro-magnetic properties which are very uniform in all directions of the plane of the lamination. The vast range of RUMAG grades are ideally suited for fractional, low and medium horse power motors. RUMAG steel is supplied in uncoated condition with high matt finish to avoid lamination sticking in decarb annealing.
