EDM Wires

Riya Electrodes offers EDM Wire, BZ-U. This is a wire specially developed for automatic connection. This has outstanding automatic connection rate because BZ-U has considerable stiffness and shows extreme straightness. Therefore, the automatic connection rate can be raised no matter whether the processing machine with an automatic connection device is of pipe type, jet cutting-type, or anneal-cut-ting type. Most suitable composition: as Pb (lead) and other impurities degrade the performance of electrode wires, these are kept at the lowest level. High dimensional precision: because a diamond dice of precisely controlled whole diameter is used, wire diameter tolerance and roundness tolerance are limited to 1µm and 1µm respectively. Stable mechanical performance: hardened material (H) is managed with utmost care so that their tensile strength shows stable value with little deviation. High surface quality: BZ-U features smooth surface free form flaws and irregularities. In addition, it has been subjected to special surface treatment that is unique to Hitachi, so that no brass powder (chips) will be generated. High cutting speed: based on an arrangement to optimise the percentage of Zn (zinc), which improves discharging characteristics, cutting speed can be raised even under same processing conditions.
