Bright bars

Viraj Forgings has a modern bright bar shop which incorporates peeling, drawing and grinding lines. The shop has a capacity of 15,000 tpa. From steel making to final inspection, the stainless bar production is achieved trough rigorously monitored manufacturing process. These are available as round cold drawn bars in size 2 to 21 mm (3/32 to 13/16") and round smooth, turned and polished bars in sizes 22 to 150 mm (13/16 to 6"). Hexagonal and square cold drawn and polished bars come in sizes 4 to 75 mm (5/32 to 3"). Improved machinability in bars is achieved by adjusting chemical composition in steel, adding sulphur and treating liquid steel with calcium. The grades are 302, 303, 304/304L, 316/316L, 309S, 310S, 316Ti, 317L, 347, 321, 410, 416, 420, 431and 440C as per ASTM or equivalent in DIN specification. Material is supplied annealed or hardened and tempered condition. The bars are packed in 500 to 1000 kg bundles, wrapped with HPDE cloth and strapped with metal band identification labels at both ends and colour coded on the head.
