Power Management Monitor

The industrial power management monitor, Model Callisto from ICXT – USA, is useful for process management flexibility for diverse SCADA applications. Callisto remote technology is primarily used by electric utilities to control and monitor the distribution of power in substation and pole top environments. Over a system-wide communications network, alarm and power quality information is generated and reported to a central site, where system operators command a wide array of control options. Such operations as opening and closing remotely located circuit breakers and switching reactive loads to improve efficiency are performed on an event-specific basis or fully automated through system configuration software. Using highly customisable remotes and integrated software packages, Callisto is able to meet the requirements of the most demanding SCADA applications. The following SCADA applications will be checked using this monitor: power management, efficient communication/management of IED and system data streams, zero voltage based switching for high-end capacitor installations, direct interface with third party distribution in line switches, SOE recording, time-stamping and logging of change of state events, load transfer, intelligent switching decisions based on load and maximum line capacity
