Lcd Interface To Industrial Equipment

This interface from Biotronic has been designed for the the needs of manufacturers and industrial equipment users. The LCD has a 16-character 2-line display with 4 membrane keys. It can be used by OEMs of industrial equipment to have a low cost operator interface to enter data and check various alarms and equipment conditions, This device operates on very low current and has a serial interface. Equipment specific protocols can be built into the device which then communicates with the host equipment. The front facia, number of keys, display size, etc, can also be customised. This device can be interfaced to any process control instrument/industrial electronic equipment which has a serial interface. One of the applications is as an interface to programmable logic controllers.
