PC Based Data Acquisition & Test System

Uni-Automation has introduced a PC-based data acquisition and control system (DACS) for testing machines. This has been added to the existing range of testing machines for leakage and other parameters which are totally custom built and find applications particularly in the automotive sector. The DACS acquires data from PC-ISA slot inserted cards or on a serial link at 9600 BPS and processes it by using a PC resident software in the on-line mode in real time, or from data stored in memory depending upon the complexity of the variables in the data. The system can have A/D inputs and outputs in multiples of 8 with or without signal conditioning. UAPL offers complete machine with fixturing, PLC controls with MMI if required, and simpler machine systems that can even be controlled from the PC. The software that processes data can use either DOS or Windows platforms, and can create files with operator's name, etc, and consolidate the results of tests for printouts and do simple statistical analysis of the data.
