Keith Electronics offers A1 size image scanners manufactured by Graphtec Corp, Japan. These have been introduced recently by the Japanese company, a leading manufacturer of speciality cutting plotters, pen plotters, digitisers. Model IS3100 is a compact high-resolution A1 size image scanner compact and lightweight in design, ideal for CAD/CAM centres. It has a number of features, which make it unique to the industry: resolution 600 dpi resolution plus digital signal processor for high scanning precision; length of the document handles documents up to 4 metres in length; accurate scanning 256 shade grey scale which enables accurate scanning of colour documents; scanning speed approx 0.83"/s at 600 dpi; documents compatible document widths range from 210 mm up to 630 mm; software comes with Graphtec's Scanning Master software for easy image processing; and protective carrier sheet protects old, flimsy, or torn drawings from damage.
