Kusam Electrical Industries Ltd, an ISO 9001: 2008 certified company, has introduced a new Datalogging 3-in-1 UV Light Meter, Model KM- 208. This instrument has a 3-in-1 light sensor design with which one can measure UV power, solar and illumination. The measuring range for UVA measurement is 4000/400/4000 µw/cm², 20 MW/cm². For illumination measurement the range is 40.00/400.0/4000/40000/400000 lux. For solar measurement the measuring range is 40 W/400 W/200 W/m² It also has data hold function, Max/Min/Avg features, auto power off adjustable from 0 to 99 min and disable function, low battery indication. It has a USB interface and data logging capacity of 45,000 records, backlit function and real time clock with calendar. It is designed according to JISC 1609: 1993 and CNS 5119 general A class specification. The spectral response is close to CIE luminous spectral efficiency. It has measuring intensities of illumination in unit of lux or foot-candle. It has a silicon photo-diode and filter. It is cosine angular corrected for solar power. The accuracy is ±5% at 1.000 W/m². It is an important tool for solar power research. It is widely used in physics and optical laboratories. The display is in the unit of Watt/m² or Btu/fth.
