Paralan announces the newest addition to its line of SCSI Bus Extenders, that allow system integrators to locate SCSI peripherals more than 300 metres from the host. Eight bit parallel SCSI signals are converted to serial, transmitted over multimode fibre optic cables and re-converted to parallel SCSI signals at through puts of up to 10 Megabytes per second. SCSI Bus Mastering assures complete compatibility with all SCSI operations including multi-threaded operation with multiple REO/ACK cycles.
