All-In-One Pentium Sbc

Dynalog has designed the PCM-5860, an all-in-one single board Pentium computer with an on-board PCI SVGA controller, a PCI Ethernet interface, and a PCI expansion slot. Offering all the functions of a powerful industrial Pentium computer on a single board, the PCM5860 fits comfortably in the space of a mere 5-1/4"floppy drive (5.75"x 8"). Equipped with 64-bits and local bus architecture, the PCM-5560 capitalises on Pentium's full potential and delivers unprecedented performance compared to current 32-bit processor boards. For maximum performance, it also supports asynchronous pipelined burst cache RAM, sized from 256 KB to 512 KB. On-board features include two serial ports (RS-232 and RS-232/422/485), one multimode parallel port (ECP/EPP/SPP), a floppy drive controller, and a keyboard/PS/2 mouse interface. The built-in high speed PCIIDE controller supports both PIO and bus master modes and accepts up to two IDE devices, including large hard drives, CD-ROM drives, tape backup drives, etc. In addition, the PCM5860's power management function minimises power consumption, while its watchdog timer automatically resets the system or generates an interrupt in the event of a program bug or EMI. The PCM-5860 is highly integrated. All on-board peripherals (flat panel/VGA, Ethernet, and IDE) adopt PCI technology and operate through an internal PCI bus. Integrating a Pentium board with PCI architecture has created a good level of performance.
