Torque Limiter

Deljayess Industrial Services offers Torque Limiters. It is a protective device to limit torque, transmitted in a drive system by slipping when torque demand exceeds a pre-set value as a result of shock load, overload or machine jam. It automatically re-engages when overload torque normalises to pre-set value - no resetting is required. It utilises spring loaded friction surfaces for operation and pre-set by adjustment of spring force. It can be used with a sprocket, gear, sheave, pulley or flange plate as a centre member, clamped between two friction liners. It is available in different models with variable and adjustable torque limits. It prevents machine damage, motor and prime mover and eliminates costly downtime. Other products are: Torque Limiter coupling for overload slip protection combined with the ability to couple driven and drive inline shafts; available with roller chain, jaw or tyre couplings.
