Safety Guards For Power Presses

Electro-Arts offers machine safety guards based on infrared techniques. These are also known as light safety curtains or infrared barriers and are designed to ensure maximum safety in dangerous operating areas on automatic machines, plants, power presses, shears, bending machines, etc., in continuous operation. Using these invisible barriers, perfect plant or machine safety is ensured with no loss of productivity, which may even be increased with considerable improvements in working conditions. Features: easy to install and may be mounted in any position with non-critical alignment between sensors; switches are provided for blanking/by-passing individual channels; total by-pass switch for safety guard in locked panel with output contacts (1 NO + 1 NC); unaffected by mains power fluctuations, also machine Off if the screen is too dirty or oily; barrier operates on cyclic scanning photo-electric infra-red techniques; various barrier range heights are available from covering 100 mm to 1000 mm; use of solid state components and special construction technique ensures that barrier is not affected by vibrations and shocks; for sensors, cables are provided with plug in connectors; self checking circuitry and cable test facility continuously monitors failure of system; safety guard can be by-passed during upward stroke through cam switch so as to increase production maintaining required safety; for SSG models "L? type clamps are provided to fix sensors in any of the four directions; cross beam models offers additional active beams which makes the guard more sensitive; and relieves constant tension and fear in operator's mind thus helps in boosting productivity.
