Infrared Imaging System, GVS 1000

The latest offering to strengthen its portfolio of surveillance systems, Bosch Security Systems, has now introduced the GVS 1000. GVS 1000 is a long range imaging system that offers day/night vision along with the regular features like pan, tilt and zoom for critical security applications. The GVS 1000 system provides full detection, classification, recognition and identification (DCRI) capabilities in total darkness, meeting the highest level of performance for night time surveillance. The GVS 1000 is equipped with advanced optics, including an IR-corrected, long range lens capable of 60x optical zoom. With a focal length of 12.5-750 mm or 25-1500mm, the lens works in conjunction with the high performance Bosch Dinion sensor to produce ultra-high quality images at long distances in day and night conditions. With 1000 meters of recognition- level imaging and 1200 meters of classification level imaging, the GVS 1000 delivers the great details. Finer details like clothing of a person, number plates of vehicles can be monitored clearly. This level of long-range imaging-which is otherwise nearly impossible to obtain with other surveillance technologies, finds its application in maritime monitoring, transportation surveillance and extended perimeter security. The GVS 1000 uses two sets of active Infra Red (IR) illuminators for both long and medium-to-short range night time imaging, eliminating the safety concerns commonly associated with laser-based IR systems. Users can choose to switch the IR off or on and also control the IR illumination using a photocell. A high precision pan/tilt motor and rugged all-weather design, including weatherproof housing and integrated wiper, ensures the GVS 1000 is suitable for precise imaging in the most extreme weather environments. Users can operate the system with a single joystick keyboard controller for maximum simplicity.
