Flame Arrester

Teltech, a division of TEL Group of Companies, manufactures a variety of flame arresters which are designed to prevent ignition of inflammable gases or vapours in storage vessels and pipework in the oil, chemical and petrochemical industries. Series 8350 is the most popular among a wide range of flame arresters. This equipment consists of a tube bank made up of spirally wound alternate layers of flat and corrugated stainless steel sheets built around a solid core. The tube bank offers a multiplicity of small holes parallel to the line of flow. The tube element is retained between two flanged end sections and contained within a steel outer shell. The corrugated "Crimped Ribbon"design of Series 5350 flame arrester element enables the unit to be manufactured to very close tolerances and hence can be efficiently size selected to suit the widest range of applications. Pressure drop across the arrester is very low and hence the unit is suitable for high gas flow rates.
