Watlow Electric's lowcost 1/8 DIN size compact alarm scanner (CAS) offers 16 channels of alarm monitoring and data acquisition capability for use in industrial and laboratory applications. It accepts multiple and mixed inputs for thermocouples, linear current or voltage inputs, or other remote devices. The unit has 16 analogue and eight digital inputs, 32 user-selectable alarm outputs, and two system digital outputs for global alarm and CPU watchdog timer. Each channel is scanned every 0.66 second, making the system versatile and responsive.
