Rear Vision System

Automation Controls offers a rear vision system. The system aims at achieving zero accident target for mining vehicles. Reversing mining vehicles such as dumpers and tippers is not free from the possibility of hazardous accidents. Several accidents have occurred in open cast mines while reversing such heavy vehicles and equipment. While audio-visual alarm and rear view mirrors are available for such vehicles and equipment, and which give warning to the work person, the operator/driver does not have a clear view of the rear of the vehicle. The rear vision system provides the advantage of providing the operator/driver of a clear view of the rear. The rear vision system is engineered such that it consists of a LCD monitor to provide good quality video picture in nearly pitch dark and poor weather conditions transmitted by camera on the monitor screen before the operator. Also a part of the system, the Infrared day and night camera provides a clear picture of the object situated at the rear side of vehicle. The infrared LED provides sufficient illumination on the object to enable the camera to provide sharp, and clear picture even in dark. While the power supply automatic switching unit provides power to the electronic circuit switch-on the screen/camera, as soon as the reverse gear is applied, the rear vision system is actuated once the reverse gear is engaged. This does not distract the operator, or interfere with his operation of the vehicle. All the components of the rear vision system are installed in water poof, shock proof and vibration resistant case suitable for high-pressure washing. They are mounted with suitable arrangement to adjust their position according to the vehicles height. This aids in the system ensuring a clear view of the rear to the operator. The system operates on 24/12 V DC supply available within the vehicle. The components are connected with suitable high quality cable having detachable waterproof joints.
