Combination Fire & Smoke Damper, Model CSFD

COMBINATION FIRE & SMOKE DAMPER, MODEL CSFD Caire Consult offers a Combination Fire and Smoke Damper, Model CSFD. This performs the function of both a fire damper and a smoke damper. Building layouts and designs often combine fire rated partitions with smoke barriers requiring the installation of both a fire damper and a smoke damper at a same location. All type of fire dampers and combination fire smoke dampers must be qualified under UL standard 555-1995 (presently prevalent in India and tested by Central Building Research Institute, Roorkee) as a fire damper. The consideration mentioned above applies to the selection and application of both fire and combination fire and smoke dampers. The dampers are made from heavy gauge galvanised steel in multi blade construction. The dampers are also provided with jamb seal (compression type) on sides to prevent spread of smoke and fire. These are motorised dampers that activate on a signal from either an electronic thermal sensor (74degree celsius UL stamped) mounted in the air stream or from the smoke detection system. The dampers are equipped with a well designed control panel, using high quality components which consume less power. They operate at 24 V obtained through a step down transformer. The panel is protected against surge currents or short circuits through a fuse connected on the PCB. The panel has an optional power supply of 24 V AC. The control panel is very well protected against wrong switchings. The combination fire and smoke dampers come standard with spring return electric or pneumatic actuator.
