Polyester Film Insulation

Lamifleece is 3-ply material consisting of one layer of polyester film covered by 2 layers of fleece. Application of this material is in electric motors and transformers. The main function of polyester fleece is to increase thermal aging performance of polyester film. The polyester fleece covering on both sides protects the sensitive polyester film from mechanical damage and has a high absorption capacity for impregnating resins and varnish. Lamifleece has a very high dielectric and outstanding mechanical strength. It is tough and flexible. This allows for east insertion into the slot and the spreading effect ensures a sturdy grip. The smooth surface makes the material ideal for use on automatic insulating and insertion machines. In addition it provides good adhesion in conjunction with impregnating materials. Outer polyester fleece protects the polyester film against oxidation and hydrolysis. Applications: Lamifleece composite materials are designed for the insulation of electric motors, transformers and electrical equipment of insulation Class B-F in electric motor/rotating equipment/generator/transformers. These flexible composite materials are used as: slot closure, phase insulation, and phase and inter layer insulation in dry type transformers.
