Polyconcrete Insulator

The Polyconcrete Insulator is used for outdoor/indoor applications. This insulator provides a smooth exterior to improve nature’s washing of contaminant build-up. Combined with the increased leakage distance, the smooth surface enhances insulating effectiveness in contaminated areas. This is moulded and cured at room temperature, providing a greater throughput and lower production costs. This insulator is more shatter resistant than porcelain thus the breakage during shipment and installation is reduced. Inserts for receiving standard or hot-dip galvanized bolts are encapsulated during the casting operation, which reduces cost and increase the leakage distance by eliminating the need for end caps. Production of special designs is accomplished with shorter lead times and lower tooling costs than comparable to epoxy, porcelain, or polyester/glass insulators. This insulator is very much suitable for transformer oil applications at high temperatures. The other products available are outdoor bushings, capacitor bushings, dry type transformer bushings, cementing of VCB insulators, surge counter bushings, support insulators for ESP, HV/LV bushings, polymeric arresters, insulating bases, etc.
