Insulators

Goldstone Teleservices manufactures Insulators. Specialty composite insulators including heat shrinkable cable accessories for telecom components are available. The insulators are of high reliability and cost effective with superior performance in all environments. The insulator system consists of two main components, i.e., a rod or tube made of glass fibre reinforced plastics and a silicone elastomer housing covering the FRP rod. This design allows a separate improvement of the insulator"s mechanical property enhances the electrical performance. As a result these insulators exhibit outstanding mechanical and electrical characteristics meeting all overhead line and switchgear engineering requirements. The major advantages of composite insulators over ceramics and hybrid insulators are: weight reduction, reduced breakages; improved resistance to vandalism; improved power frequency insulation; improved contamination performance; less maintenance cost, high mechanical strength; and long life, superior anti tracking properties.
