Insulation Medium

In hot climate, or summer seasons, or in tropical weather, during daylight hours, there is a constant process of heat accumulation in the building’s external elements, which are exposed to the sun’s radiation and to external temperatures. The accumulated heat is emitted into the building causing the temperature inside to rise. For most buildings, which use conventional insulation, this heat remittance process would continue also during night hours. Polynum is a low volume, high performance insulation medium that combines the technology of reflective air space with a low remittance, sealed air, thermal conduction barrier. Polynum is a safe, non-toxic fiber free insulation medium designed to out perform many conventional mineral and fiber absed insulation materials. Polynum is not affected by humidity and excels in high and low temperature applications. Polynum 1: 4.00 mm of close cell clear PE bubbles single sided cover with at least 8-micron anti corrosion aluminium foil. Emissivity: (ASTM C 1371) – 5%; reflectivity: (ASTM E 408) – 95%; heat resistance (max RSI) – 9.0; scratch resistance – both sides; surface flame spread (ASTM E-84) – class A; yield (nominal) – 218 g; standard roll size – 1.17 m x 57 m; and standard roll weight – 14.5 kg.
