Vehicle Security & Tracking Device

Tcop is a GSM-based vehicle security and tracking device developed by Bangalore-based iTrans Technologies. The device boasts of many applications for all kinds of automobiles. At the core of our GSM based tracking solution is a proprietary hardware device that includes a power adapter, an antenna, a central processing unit, and device software. This device is fitted in each of the mobile assets (vehicle in this case) to be tracked, and contains a GSM communication engine that stays in synchronized contact with the GSM network via SIM. The central processing unit in the device runs on custom software that communicates with the GSM network and gets location information from the nearest GSM tower. This information translates into a user readable format and sends an SMS using the GSM network to a mobile phone. While iTrans Technologies is working towards introducing a new feature in Tcop where the image of the intruder into the car will be detected and sent to the owner’s mobile phone via an MMS, as of now, the device is available in Karnataka, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kochi. Apart from a new feature that would include locking and unlocking of the car via SMS, the company plans to go pan-India in the next two to three years.
