Water-Based Wood Paints

Sirca have worked on water-based paints that could replace solvent-based ones. In the field of joineries, the water-based cycle is composed of impregnating agents in different shades, of a tix transparent or white sealer, and of a tix top coat, transparent or pigmented in different colours. The advantages against traditional synthetic cycles are a longer durability, faster painting cycle, fewer dancers in use, virtually no solvent emissions and, special to the manufacturer's products, a low wood vein swelling, especially on pine. The latest development has been for the spray painting of wooden kitchen doors. The cycle consists of water-based stains, UC curing sealer with high solid contact and a water-based UV top coat.
