Surface Coatings

The object to be coated is dipped into water thinned paint and direct current is passed through the paint. In the cathodic system, the article to be coated becomes the cathode. The paint solids are positively charged and are therefore, attracted to the cathode. CED coating has some very distinct advantages. It exhibits extremely high corrosion protection properties. It is able to coat highly recessed areas and complex shapes with a high degree of accuracy. Unlike spray coatings, electro deposited paint does not sag during curing.
