RED OXIDE ZINC PHOSPHATE PRIMERS

Gujan Paints offers Red Oxide Zinc Phosphate Primers. It is epoxy-based. It is a generic type, two component primer. Its composition is: polyamide/ polyamine cured epoxy primer containing zinc phosphate as corrosion inhibiting pigment; recommended for use as primer for MS surface in various fertilizer, refineries, chemical and other plants applied in diverse areas of tank exteriors, equipment, pipelines, structural steel, etc., as well as on original equipment. Specifications: physical constants - colour red oxide, finish flat - solids by volume 40%; theoretical spreading rate 11.4-13.3 sq.m/ltr at recommended DFT on smooth and non-absorbent surface; flash point above 25°C, drying characteristics - dry to touch 1-1 1/2 hr, dry to handle 24 hrs, fully cured 7 days, and shelf life - 9 months (of individual components) - stored under proper condition of temperature and pressure. Application details: mixing ratio (by vol) - base 3, harder 1; pot life - 6-8 hrs at 25°c; applications method - by brush, by spray; thinner - type 002 (if required), type 002 - recommended dry film thickness 30-35 microns; over coating intervals - min 8 hrs, max 24 hrs; and compatibility - can be top coated with epoxy, PU, CR top coats.
