International Marine Coatings, a supplier of marine coatings offers high-performance marine finishes, Interfine 979 and Interfine 691. Interfine 979 is a patented polysiloxane finish, which provides excellent long-term durability and significantly improves upon the gloss and colour retention exhibited by typical polyurethane finishes. Interfine 979 is based on inorganic polysiloxane technology and represents the very latest advances in high-performance coatings chemistry. Interfine 691 is an isocyanate free, epoxy acrylic finish that is designed for external above water areas (including boot tops) on all vessel types. Interfine 691 is especially suitable where recoatable polyurethane performance is required over extended in-service periods and where the use of isocyanate cured coatings is not acceptable, either to the vessel operator or shipyard. Interfine 691 offers extended recoatability and can be applied directly to most existing cosmetic finishes and a range of anti-corrosive systems. The product has excellent application characteristics, good resistance to early water spotting (moisture) and can be applied at temperatures down to -5?C (23?F).
