Chemical Resistant Coatings

Arcoy offers Chemical Resistant Coating. This is a high-build solvent-less epoxy acid, alkali resistant coating. It is a two-pack epoxy polyamine cured solvent-less coating with high gloss and chemical resistance for metallic as well as concrete surfaces. Characteristics: provides a hard, smooth, and tough impermeable barrier against attack of corrosive ions over a PH range 1 to 14; it has excellent adhesion to steel and concrete surfaces; excellent chemical resistance (i.e., acid, alkali, solvents, etc); low maintenance and ease of reparability; excellent hardness and good flexibility; recommended for offshore platforms, aqueous, and severe chemical corrosive environments, structure coating situated in aggressive environments, etc; excellent erosion and abrasion resistance; approved for food grade quality and can be suitably used for coating substrates coming in contact with food. Technical specifications: base - solvent-less epoxy resin filled with speciality additives, anti-corrosive pigments and corrosion inhibitors; hardener - polyamine based; colour availability - all colours; volume solids - 100%; specific gravity - 25°C 1.30 to 1.40 gm/cc; dry film thickness (DFT) - 120 to 150 microns/coat; temperature resistance - 95°C; mixing ratio - 1:4 (hardener to base) by weight; pot life at 25°C, 30 minutes; and shelf life - 1 year (storage below 25°C).
