Cathodic Electro Deposited Coating

Cathodic Electro Deposited Coating is extensively used in the automotive industry. In this process, the component after phosphate pre treated is dipped in the bath of E-coat chemicals and given an electric charge. The coating gets deposited on the component and the component is removed from the bath, washed and then baked. The company also offers glide coating systems and dip spin coating machines. It is a very mature system with a transfer efficiency in excess of 90%; precise control on coating thickness with a very high predictability and repeatability; parts can be racked densely and provides for a very high throughput; very easy to automate and low labour cost; coating is deposited uniformly and the system has good throwing power for recessed area; compatibility with other top coat application technologies; benchmark for corrosion protection; on the environment front, this technology has low to no HAPS and ultra- low VOC.
