High temperature cement

British Electricals has introduced high temperature cement CC-325 with liquid binder HC-325 (ratio 2:1). The cement setting time is approximate 24 hours for full set in open air under ambient temperature. For faster setting, it requires heating @ 175?F for full set in 60 minutes. Fully set cement is suitable for I/R up to 100 MW and suitable to withstand temperature up to 2000?F.Properties of cement: compression strength - 3900 PSI; tensile strength - 425 PSI; absorption - 10~12%; shrinkage - 0.50%; density - 141%; max service temperature - 1550?F; and shelf life - 2.5 years. This cement is ideally suitable for end sealing for thermocouple assembly, heaters and various other applications.
