Ambetronics Engineers offers the innovative EBI 25 wireless sensor system designed for wireless monitoring of temperatures in chest freezers and refrigerators, and for immediately signalling excess temperatures via a central ebro® portal as an alarm via SMS or e-mail. Users of an ebro® portal have reliable access to the portal via web browser and Internet access. Special software is not required. The service is available 24 hours a day; the measured data can be traced "live" from any PC in the world, virtually in real time. Any desired number of data loggers are placed for instance in the chest freezers and refrigerators of a supermarket. The temperature data of the wireless loggers are transmitted via a radio interface to an interface and retransmitted from there via GSM, WLAN or an Ethernet interface to a local server (Intranet) (for a small number of loggers), to one's own server (in-house server) or to a central ebro® portal (hosted service). When a data logger measures an excess of temperature, the control centre receives an alarm message and routes it directly via SMS or e-mail to the responsible person on the site. He can act immediately, clear the fault and thus possibly avoid expensive damage. The EBI 25 wireless sensor system consists of: wireless temperature logger EBI 25-T, EBI 25-TE or EBI 25-TH with IEEE 802.15.4 radio interface; logger holding device for fixing in chest freezers and refrigerators (optional); and interface with radio interface and WLAN/Ethernet/Modbus interface. The EBI 25 wireless temperature data logger is watertight (IP67), has a temperature measuring range from -30 to +70°C, and can store 8,000 measured values. The accuracy in temperature is ±0.5°C between -20°C and +40°C, and ±0.8°C for the rest of the range. Other versions are available.
