Vision Sensors

Traditional sensors merely detect the presence or absence of an object. Vision sensors detect a number of attributes with a single device. Vision sensors are able to detect information not uniformly distributed, such as the expiration date on a package, or the presence and verification of pills in a blister pack. Pepperl+Fuchs vision sensors in the VOS300 series are complex in performance, and simple to handle. These are constructed to be reliable, flexible and easy to integrate in applications. It closes the gap between standard photoelectric sensors and expensive vision systems by employing a powerful and flexible solution .The intuitive operator interface enables the sensor to be easily adjusted for a particular task, even without programming skills or image processing experience. This allows presence and completeness checks, detection of position and shape comparison to be executed efficiently and at minimal expense. The new VOS302 and VOS312 vision sensors helps in many detection applications where the user needs to execute a number of tasks simultaneously or sequentially, with a single sensor. These sensors have the following attributes: 1. Up to 16 jobs can be stored and called up on one sensor; 2. Convenient job management; and 3. Jobs can be activated directly through the control system without using a computer.
