Valve Position Transducer

The Valve Position Transducer from Novotechnik, Germany is used for monitoring linear or angular position. Potentiometric (ie, contact-type) and contact-less varieties are available. For applications requiring feedback of the valve position, a range of wire-wound and conductive plastic potentiometric transducer is available. The wire-wound range is a low-cost range with typical lifetimes of 100,000 operations. It is available with either 3 or 6 mm shaft diameters and with resistance values from 100 R to 10 K. Its competitive strengths include excellent linearity (down to 0.4%), low TCR (down to 40 ppm), wide operating temperature range (-25 to +125?C), IP67 rating, etc. The conductive plastic range is for more demanding applications or applications requiring a continuous, step-less output. It is available with either 3 or 6 mm shaft diameters and with 1, 5 or 10 K resistance values. Its competitive strengths include: high reliability (up to 5 million operations), excellent linearity (down to 0.25%), low TCR (down to 50 ppm), high IP rating (up to IP65), etc.
