UV Flame Detector, Explosion Proof

Agni Controls offers fladet - IH-166S/1-UF explosion proof ultra violet flame detector with IP-66 protection. The detector makes use of ultra violet sensitive photo cathode for detection of flame. It has a narrow spectral sensitivity of 185 to 260 nm, being completely insensitive to visible light. The UV flame detector has a wide angular sensitivity (directivity) and can reliably and quickly detect weak ultra violet radiations emitted from the flame. The detector can detect the flame of a cigarette lighter at a distance of more than 5m. It can be connected to any standard fire alarm panel or to any annunciator or PLC or DCS through the potential free ?NO/NC? contacts provided. In built RED LED is also provided for visible indication in case of fire situation. In built Flicker Green LED indicate the normal condition of the flame detector. Provision for air purging to clean the detector eye by using instrument air at pressure of 3 to 7 bar. Applications: ware houses; areas where rapidly developing flaming fires can occur, such as storage and transfer areas; areas needing high fire risk machinery or installations. Advantages: rugged model suitable to use in non-hazardous outdoor application; easy to install, operate and maintain; high speed response; visual indication for alarm/normal condition; readily used in the environment were other type of detectors are unsuitable. Detector sensitivity: the response time of the detector is a function of the size of the fire, fuel type, and the distance from the detector to the fire. Smaller fires and greater distances normally require greater response time. The detector can sense a flame a cigarette ligher at a distance of 5m. It can detect a fire of 1 Sq.ft. fire at 30m.
