Modsonic Instruments Mfg Co Pvt Ltd has developed ultrasonic flaw detector that has a memory of 20 calibration set-ups, direct setting of test ranges and the facility to see all set-up vales/variables on the LCD display.The detector is microcontroller based and is available in Galileo Series. The machine has larger CRT screen and is light in weight. The control is through keyboard for ease of operation, reliability and durability. Monitor of single channel flaw monitor gate type is available. Electronic distance amplitude correction facility is another worth mentioning feature of the unit. Technical specifications: Test range: 0-15 mm to 0-5 meters (in steel) Velocity: Velocity range of 1000 met/sec to 9999 met/sec can be adjusted in 10 met/sec or 100 met/sec steps (through keyboard) Pulse shift: 0-500 mm (in steel) Frequency range: 0.5 MHz to 15 MHz Gain: total gain is 140 dB; calibrated gain is 100 dB, adjustable in 1 dB or 20 dB steps
