Modsonic Instruments manufactures and markets world-class ultrasonic transducers (search units) for "non-destructive testing" (NDT) applications. Different configurations in terms of frequency and element size are available (frequency range of 0.5 MHz to 1.0 MHz and element size of 5 mm dia to 25 mm dia). These are available in normal beam, angle beam and dual type in standard and customised configurations. These transducers offer excellent sensitivity, resolution, penetration and S/N ratio characteristics. A total of 27 types of DGS scales are available for standard range of transducers with various test-ranges. DGS scales are used for "flaw-sizing." These transducers are compatible with most of Indian and foreign made ultrasonic flaw detectors. They are fitted with BNC and LEMO type sockets which are standard connectors for these equipment.
