Slot Sensor

Electro-Arts offers a new Slot/Fork Sensor with a slot gap of 5 mm and depth of 10 mm. Overall dimensions of the sensor are 60 x 15 x 20 mm so that the sensor can be accommodated in small space. Sensor is in an ABS plastic moulded housing with fixing holes. The sensor is provided with a cover to offer protection from mechanical damage. The rectangular flat shape with two fixing holes provides a perfect base for installation, so the sensor's position is not disturbed due to vibration which may cause mechanical damage to the sensor. Supply required for operation is 10 to 24 V DC and output is through NPN or PNP transistors. Models are available with normally open or closed logic. For 230 V operation, powerpack can be used. Required logics, time delay, etc, can be offered in the powerpack. Applications are in interlocking, counting, RPM indication, web guides, paper breakage detection, etc.
