Sensors To Solve Problem Application Requirements

Optoelectronic specialist Leuze electronic has extended its photoelectric sensor Series 95. The compact sensor family measuring only 65 mm in height, 17 mm in width and 34.5 mm in depth now numbers no fewer than 19 different models. New additions include a diffuse reflection scanner with foreground suppression, which is capable of reliable detection of objects with extremely poor remission properties or objects which reflect light to one side. The new safety light barrier is a throughbeam sensor which operates using visible red light and has a range of 8 m. In conjunction with a safety-relevant control system, it forms a remote operating safety device conforming to prEN 50100 part 0.5 category 2 (testing). The sensors are in full compliance with the requirements of protection Class IP 67. The metal housings conform to safety category II, and their EMC rating corresponds to IEC 801, degree of severity 3.
