Pepperl + Fuchs (India) offers a wide range of sensors. These are available in both inductive and capacitive types. Inductive sensors are used to detect the presence of metallic objectives and are available in any sizes, shapes, sensing ranges and electrical outputs. Capacitive sensors can be used when the object that is to be detected is not metallic. This type of sensor is therefore very flexible in use. It can, for example, be applied in the detection of levels, or as a hand-held switch. The capacitive sensor responds to the conductivity of objects as well as to the value of their dielectric constant. Inductive sensors are available in a wide structured range: cylindrical sensors, square-shaped sensors, slot sensors, ring sensors, NAMUR sensors, analogue sensors, sensors with increased operating distance, bus-compatible sensors and positioners for valves. Capacitive sensors are available as cylindrical or rectangular sensors.
