Omron Automation offers a range of high-reliability Sensors for Non-contact Detection of magnetic metals. These are cylindrical proximity sensors, Model E2GN, providing high quality at exceptional cost. These are available in various versions in M12 and M18 (shielded) sizes, sensing distance 2 and 5 mm respectively. The output type is PNP/NPN.
