Sensor For Cooling Towers

Cool Arts-SB is a sensor based controller. It regulates the fan motor situated on top of the cooling tower with respect to the temperature of water in the tank. It comes with a 2-foot long sensor that fits into the water tank situated below the cooling tower. The sensor senses the water temperature depending on the setting set (5-50?), it switches off the fan motor when the water cools down to the required level and restarts after the water has been heated up. Thus the fan motor runs only for the requisite amount of time, thereby saving the unnecessary wastage of electricity and water. Water is sucked continuously when the fan motor is running. Additional features are: the sensor has an adjustable float setting which indicates the water level; low water level and overheating of water can be known by warning lights; facility to by-pass all settings in case of emergency; and built-in circuitry to prevent motor burn out. The sensor saves power, eg, for 1 HP motor in 24 hrs of running, the saving is said to be approx Rs 1,125 PM. It can be used with any make of cooling tower, for applications such as centralised air-conditioning, refrigeration, chemical, and plastic units, and foundries.
