Sdf Flow Sensors & Systems

PTS offers TUV approved SDF flow sensors in technical association with SKI, Germany. These are robust and reliable pitostatic tube sensors for gaseous media; saturated and superheated steam; and highly corrosive chemicals/liquids. They are of extremely low weight innovative construction, low flow resistance, extremely high long-term accuracy, insensitive to contamination, and can be-used with high temperature (1,100?C) aggressive media. SDF sensors are available for internal pipe diameters from 35 mm to 6,500 mm, and with different material composition. Minimum components of a complete SDF flow measurement with density correction are: (1) SDF-sensor; (2) 3-Way manifold; (3) Differential pressure transmitter; (4) Squareroot extraction element (mostly integrated in the transmitter); and (5) Density correction by means of pressure and temperature measurement and corresponding compensation calculation for gas, steam or liquid. The Fastlok Series consists of SDF-sensors which can be assembled and dismantled without interrupting the operation. LSE-HD scavanging facility for SDF-sensors can be provided while being used in highly dust laden, eg, dust in waste air, scavenging used regularly. It avoids clogging of the bore holes which influences correct measurements. Application areas are thermal power plants; chemical plants; and other process plants.
