Pulse Transmitters – Edge Sensors

PG Electronics offers Pulse Transmitters – Edge Sensors. The versatile sensors in fork design can sense presence or absence of an object when it passes the slot. The opto-electronic based accurate Sensors available in wide range of slot widths from 10 mm to 75 mm, obviate the necessity of aligning emitter-detector positions. Quick response time from 200 microseconds to 100 milliseconds is featured, depending upon the size of sensors, viz., EIR 101, C-10 to EIR 101, C-50. Using two sensors and aligning them in quadrature over a fine-slot-cut-wheel, the user can make ‘Simple Encoder’ at site. Alignment indicator is provided on every sensor to ensure its precise functioning. Suitable for operation on 10-30 V DC this gives logic output to drive even a relay. The sensors with switching outputs can be ideally used for edge orientation, sensing labels or even capsules in production, pallets in automation and many more applications. The sensor ERA 101 is specially designed to give analog feed back of edge position covering or uncovering the prefixed location. The visible light beam also helps user to align the position of the sensor. It is a heavy-duty unit designed to work in rubber or even cold rolling steel industry.
