Proximity Switch, 2-IN-1

Schunk offers MMS-P, a programmable slot fitted switch with two switching points. The MMS-P is a brand new proximity switch with two switching points. The same sensor now detects both the "open" and the "closed" position. This means fewer sensors, fewer cables, fewer adjustments – and lower costs. Programmable positions and programmable hysteresis: the switching points are now no longer set by pushing the sensor to the proper piston position and the piston clamping is it there. Instead, the sensor is now simply mounted near the piston, which is moved to the desired switching position. One push of a button is enough to teach the sensor that this is the switching point. And if the standard switch-off hysteresis is too large, it can easily be reprogrammed. The MMS-P is considerably less expensive than two conventional slot-fitted switches. One housing one circuit board with processor and one cable are saved as compared is two conventional slot-fitted switches.
