Proximity Sensor

New from SICK OpticElectronic, the WT4 proximity sensor features a fast response time of 500 ms and a variable scanning distance of 20 to 80 mm. It is insensitive to ambient light, features a fibreglass reinforced housing, and prevents false triggering on power-up. Because of its adjustable sensing distance, the WT4 can sense any colour object against any reflective background. Its adjustable background suppression also allows the WT4 to sense objects as close as 2 mm to the background and as far as 80 mm away.
