Photosensor, Long Range

Shiva Electronics has developed a new, long range photoelectric diffuse beam sensor, with built-in On/Off delay. This box type sensor is available in ABS plastic. Size of the sensor is 55 x 50 x 17 mm. In this sensor the company offers sensing range from 100 to 1200 mm, i.e., with pot adjustment. Trim pots T1 and T2 are provided for On delay (0 to 30 sec) and Off delay (0 to 30 sec) respectively. All four options – NO, NC, NPN and PNP – are available in this sensor, and are user selectable. This helps in reducing the inventory of spare sensors. The outputs are with driving capacity of 500 mA each with short circuit protection, overload protection and inductive load protection. Supply voltage is 10 to 24 V DC with reverse polarity protection. This microcontroller based long range sensor is accurate and can detect high speed objects reliably. The built-in delay option saves additional cost of external timer. This sensor has wide applications in machine tools, SPMs, paper industries, pharmaceuticals, textile, cement, food and packaging, and other industries.
