Pepperl+Fuchs offers Photoelectric Sensors, Series 31. Features: unbeatable price/performance ratio; compact IP67 plastic housing with three mounting holes guarantees easy interchangeability and compatibility with existing mounting systems; coloured rhombus indicate the function principle, thus mistakes are excluded; highly visible LED display - cleverly positioned at the housing edges for largest viewing angles, etc. With a dimension of 62 x 35 x 18 mm, it is the smallest in its class and yet it has sensing ranges that exceeds those of the competition. This is despite it having the smallest depth of 35 mm (in optical sensors one of the ways to achieve better optical performance is to have larger depths). This small size allows it to be installed in tight and compact spaces. The Series 31 finds its way into standard applications such as closing edge monitoring of doors and gates and object detection and tracking in material handling. The range includes: single path light beam light beam switches; reflex light beam switches (with and without polarisation filters); direct detection light scanners (convergent beam and BGS models are planned).
