Multi Range Force Transducer

The measurement range of the new S-Type force transducer with integrated amplifier, from tecsis GmbH can be adjusted very easily. This unique feature enables the S-Type to replace up to three conventional force transducers. With the hand-held programming unit PE01 the user can reduce the measurement range from 100% to 50% or even 30%. The accuracy, which always amounts to 0.2% of the total measurement range, is increased significantly at the same time. The S-Type force transducer uses the proven tecsis thin film sensor. The sensing element, which is sealed with a laser, gives all the advantages of a strain gauge, but doesn’t have the disadvantages like temperature drift. Applications: hoists, tool approach load machines, automation of the manufacturing process, machine and plant construction. Special features: adjustable measurement range 100%, 50%, 30%, integrated overload protection in tension and force direction; thin film implants (instead of conventional bonded foil strain gauges; integrated amplifier, small temperature drift, high long term stability, big shock and vibration resistance; for dynamic or static measurements; and corrosion free stainless steel, IP 67.
