Moisture In Oil Transmitters
Moisture In Oil Transmitters are designed to measure moisture content in oil. These products are ideal for continuous monitoring of moisture in lubrication or insulation oil, which is very important for the long-term performance and preventative maintenance for electrical transformers, large engines and machinery. For instance, moisture affects dramatically the insulation characteristics of electrical transformer oil. All E+E products are designed for operation in the harsh and rugged conditions typically found in environments where moisture in oil is measured. E+E moisture in oil products provide moisture in oil measurements in two common formats:·
- Water Activity (aw) of oil is a measure the amount of water in the oil as a percentage of water saturated oil (similar to the concept of relative humidity). Using this measure, aw = 0 corresponds to water-free oil, while aw = 1 describes fully saturated oil. Like relative humidity, the temperature of the oil affects water content.
