Magnetic Field Sensors

Series BMF magnetic field sensors from Balluff, Germany, detect piston position in pneumatic cylinders. These technologies replace the traditional contacting reed or mechanical switches. Permanent magnets are built into the piston ring of the pneumation cylinder. The BMF senses the magnets through the non-ferrous cylinder wall. Other features include: non-contact and wear-free position feedback, insensitive to contamination, sense piston position through the cylinder wall, have mounting clamps for various cylinders, and no multiple switching. The BMF 305-HW- 17 is for pneumatic cylinders with T-channel from Festo or SMC. The BMF 305-HW-20 is for pneumatic cylinders with T-channel.
