Magnetic field sensors

Pepperl + Fuchs (India) offers patented magnetic field sensors. These considerably simplify the detection of position on thick walled hydraulic cylinders. These magnetic field sensors render ferromagnetic materials virtually transparent so that actuating components can be detected through the wall. Advantages: zero-contact detection of the piston; free position able sensor; simple and protected installation; no holes in the cylinder required; detection of intermediate and end positions; simple too operate; and measurement of flux density on the cylinder surface.
